Hi there.

Offering telehealth (secure video chat) counseling for teens, parents, couples, individuals and families. In other words, we do counseling in pajamas from our couch (while you do the same). You're welcome.

About Melissa

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Melissa Winston, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who specializes in work with teens and their families. In my 22 year journey of working with families, I have seen the enormous gap in services for Christian families seeking a balanced approach to their mental health – especially when it comes to their teens. Good providers that specialize in work with teens are few and far between. Teens aren’t kids – and they aren’t adults. Treatment has to be specifically tailored to their unique needs, and sadly it rarely is.
In addition to this, many treatment options simply don’t address the holistic needs of teens or their parents, but rather focus on mediating symptoms. Medication and talk therapy often are not enough to solve the problems present for teens, and parents find themselves frustrated, alone, and lost on how to proceed.

It is my heart and ambition to help…

  • support teens and families to live healthy, connected lives;
  • to provide relevant resources that balance faith and science to parents looking for help;
  • to provide real support for the parents of these struggling teens;
  • to help families gain access to holistic care that is balanced in approach, ensuring that physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are addressed in full.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you.  We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.  It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
